Why Vegan
Vegan Outreach's information on animal rights, and reasons why to go vegan. The information is very detailed, and presents a logical argument. The pamphlet version is distributed by BARC on-campus. They also have health information.

Compassion Over Killing
From their website, "COK is a nonprofit animal advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. Working to end animal abuse, COK focuses on cruelty to animals in agriculture and promotes vegetarian eating as a way to build a kinder world for all of us, both human and nonhuman."
Farm Sanctuary
From their website, "In 1986, Gene and Lorri Bauston found a living sheep abandoned on a stockyard 'deadpile.' They rescued the sheep, named her Hilda, and created Farm Sanctuary. Within ten years, Farm Sanctuary became the nation’s largest farm animal rescue and protection organization."
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
From their website, "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 850,000 members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment."

Animal Rights Foundation of Florida (ARFF)
From their website, "We are an organization founded on the principle that animals have the right to live their lives free of exploitation, abuse and harm inflicted upon them by society. We reach out to the public through demonstrations, letters to the editor, paid advertising, and personal appearances by our spokespersons on radio, television, and in school classrooms. We also promote animals' rights through meetings with, and letter-writing campaigns directed at, industry and community decision-makers. We publish a quarterly newsletter to keep our members informed about current campaigns and how they can become involved."
Vegetarians of Central Florida (VegCF)
From their website, "Vegetarians of Central Florida (VegCF) was founded in fall 2003. The goal of VegCF is to encourage and support vegetarians and vegans in Central Florida. We are vegetarians for human health, human rights, animal rights, environmental, simple living, spiritual, religious, and cultural reasons. We welcome non-vegetarians, who we like to consider potential vegetarians. We hold regular events, such as restaurant visits, picnics, potlucks, outdoor activities, and humane education. Orlando Animal Rights Alliance (OARA)

Animal Activists of Alachua

Journey's End Animal Sanctuary
Journey's End Animal Sanctuary provides lifetime care and shelter for dogs, cats, horses and birds that have been abused, neglected or have special needs.
