BARC is joining forces with Free The Planet! @ UCF and the Environmental Society to bring UCF a joint Meatout / Earth Week extravaganza. Events will be all week long, so check out the listing of events in this email.

We will have flyers in the BARC cubicle in Student Union Room 208 (Office of Student Involvement). Please come by to pick some up to give to friends, people in your classes, etc.

Schedule

All Week Long

• FREE food at Johnny Rockets (in the Waterford Lakes Shopping Center): Buy one, get one Free Streamliner (made with a soy Boca patty). See Meatout.org for details!
• All week long, the Marketplace Cafeteria on campus will have extra veg options!

Monday:

• Join BARC in celebration and tabling in support of Meatout Mondays. We!ll be outside the Student Union from 10am - 2pm!
• Listen to DJ Andy on the Student Union Stage at noon
• ARFF is having speaker Harold Brown, Peaceable Kingdom screening, and raffles. Herndon Branch Library @ 6pm.

Tuesday:

• The Folkadots on Student Union stage at noon
• Green Roof Tour of the Student Union at 12:30pm with Dr. Marty Wanielista (of UCF!s Civil Engineering Dept): the reinforced roof lasts longer, cleans pollutants, saves money and looks good!
• Visiting the new Dandelion Communitea Cafe! Carpool meets by Millican Hall @ 6pm. Be at the cafe @ 6:30pm.

  We’ll also briefly talk about the upcoming Dinner and a Movie.

Wednesday:

• FREE Vegan Food Sampling on-campus 11-3pm
• Join BARC for dinner at the UCF Marketplace Cafeteria @ 7pm. All week long, the Marketplace will have extra veg options!
• Bike to School Day! Get some exercise & save yourself the
  hassle of finding a parking spot by riding your bike, instead.

Thursday:

• Listen to Evil Balerina on the Student Union stage at noon
• Working to Make a Cleaner Campus. Panelists speak of research at UCF, how we can support it, and how we can make better choices in our daily lives! 2pm Student Union Room 218B
• Vegan Cooking Demo! with Sandra Diaz from Dandelion
  Communitea Cafe in Nike Community Center in Academic Village @ 6pm.
• Come show your support for a Student Govt. resolution for healthy environmental practices! Student Union Room 218 @ 7:30pm

Friday:

• Listen to The Bob Berkun Experiment on the Student Union stage noon-1pm
• Listen to Jen Whalen on the SU stage 1pm-2pm
• Dance party and food in SU room 221AB from 8-12pm!

Sunday:

• Potluck, soccer, & kickball at Memory Mall (field between Classroom I and Health & Public Affairs) around 1pm
